kumparanMOM officially held the kumparanMOM Children’s Day Festival 2026 at Ex Taman Anggrek, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta on 25-26 July 2026. With the theme “Play & Move”this festival presents various activities that encourage children to learn through games, art, creativity and exploration with their families in commemoration of National Children’s Day.
The series of the first day of the 2026 kumparanMOM Children’s Day Festival began with a Storytold session by the Director General of Public Communications and Media of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Fifi Aleyda Yahya together with the Chief Editor of kumparanMOM Dhini Hidayati reading a book When Lala Plays with Gadgets. Story When Lala Plays with Gadgetsconveys a message about the importance of building positive habits in children in using technology. Through the Storytelling session, Fifi invited Indonesian parents and children to use technology wisely, starting from managing screen time (screen time), maintaining balance with play activities that keep the body moving, and instilling the values of honesty and responsibility in building good habits from an early age.
Fifi said that children have the right to benefit from technological developments, but this needs to be balanced with real experiences in their growth and development process. In the midst of digital challenges and the influence of algorithms, parental assistance is important so that children can get to know technology safely and wisely.
“Children can benefit from technology, but don’t lose the opportunity to play, chat with family, and get guidance from parents directly because childhood experiences will not be repeated. On the occasion of National Children’s Day, we are reminded again how important warm relationships are in the family and providing opportunities for children to play and interact with their friends directly,” said Fifi.
Apart from Fifi, influencer Tasya Farasya and writer Reda Gaudiamo also participated in the Storytelling session on the first day of the 2026 KumparanMOM Children’s Day Festival. Tasya presented an imaginative story about the creation of the Strawberry Lollipop River, while Reda invited the children to dive into the stories in the book. On Willa 2which describes the child’s world through everyday experiences that are simple, close, and full of curiosity.
Chief Editor of kumparanMOM, Dhini Hidayati, said the kumparanMOM Children’s Day Festival 2026 presents more space for families to enjoy time together through fun activities.
“We believe play is the closest language to children. By playing, they learn and continue to try new things. Through the ‘Play & Move’ theme, we hope to present an experience that is not only fun but meaningful for the whole family,” said Dhini.
Throughout the first day, children and families are treated to a variety of activities, starting from performances social circusmusic and dance, children’s short film screenings, art activities, and various interactive games spread across the festival area. The family’s enthusiasm can also be seen from the presence of thousands of visitors, one of which is actress Zaskia Sungkar who also enjoyed a series of activities with the family.
One of the things that attracts the most attention is the presence of Si Unyil Universe, a legendary Indonesian child character who has been known across generations. Through character and puppet shows, children can meet and interact directly with Si Unyil and other characters, while parents are invited to reminisce about figures who were part of their childhood.
The festival experience is divided into three main areas, viz Playful Zone, Creative Zone,And Market Zone. From Playful Zone, children can enjoy various active games, while Creative Zone presents art, science and technology activities that encourage creativity and curiosity. Meanwhile, Market Zone offers a variety of culinary choices and family needs in one area.
Apart from the three main areas, kumparanMOM Children’s Day Festival 2026 also presents Little Star Stagewhich complements Bambala stage. The presence of two stages provides more space for children and families to enjoy various performances, starting from storytellingmusicals, dance, interactive games, short film screenings, and other children’s entertainment.
