Nissan recently launched the Xpander-based Nissan Livina in Indonesia. In Japan, the Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance launched four new Kei cars.

These vehicles include the Nissan Dayz, Nissan Dayz Highway Star, Mitsubishi eK Wagon, and Mitsubishi eKX. Their design is very similar to the Livina and Xpander.

The production of these mini cars is being handled by a joint venture, NMKV, and they are ready to start production at Mitsubishi’s Mizushima Plant in Kurashiki, Japan.

Nissan and Mitsubishi began working together to launch Kei cars in 2013. Business collaboration has increased since they became alliance partners in 2016.

For the first time, Nissan and Mitsubishi’s Kei cars are ready to offer semi-autonomous driving technology. This capability is designed for single-lane use on highways.
