Head of the Government Communications Agency, Muhammad Qodari, said that one of the focuses of improvement is the mechanism for providing incentives for SPPG.
In the future, incentives will not be given equally.
SPPG will be evaluated and given a grading, for example class A, B, or C, based on the quality of service and number of beneficiaries.
The better the quality of the SPPG, the greater the chance of getting better incentives.
Apart from that, the government also opened up the possibility of temporarily stopping the construction of new SPPGs.
The focus is no longer increasing the number of units, but strengthening the quality of SPPG operations that are already running.
Currently, the MBG program is said to have reached around 63 million beneficiaries through approximately 28,000 SPPGs in various regions.
The government will also tighten evaluation of facilities, operational requirements, food processing processes, health standards and cleanliness.
In essence, the direction of improving MBG is now shifting from quantity to quality and efficiency.
