Alphabet’s Google on Tuesday unveiled a series of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for Gmail and its cloud software, taking aim at Microsoft days before its rival is expected to make a similar announcement.
In a replay of the chatbot dogfight launched by the tech giant last month, ABC touted it as a “magic wand” for its popular Google Docs software, which can compose marketing blogs, training plans, or other text, then revise its tone at the user’s discretion, a company official showed reporters.
Microsoft, meanwhile, has teased a Thursday event about how it is “reinventing productivity with AI,” which is expected to feature its rival’s Word processor.
