Lately I feel like more and more small businesses are active on social media. Whether you want to look for home-cooked food, coffee, ornamental plants, clothes, even handicrafts, almost everyone now has their own account for promotion.
If you think about it, it does make sense. In the past, people had to print brochures, put up banners, or hope someone would recommend them through word of mouth. Now just upload a photo or video from your cellphone, the product can be seen by many people.
What’s interesting is that it’s not just big businesses. In fact, many home businesses are starting to become known because they regularly create content. Some show the cooking process, packing orders, and even the story behind the business. Simple things like that are enough to attract the attention of potential buyers.
In my opinion, buyer habits have also changed. Now before checking out, people usually find out about the product first. Look at photos, videos, read comments, then decide to buy. That’s why content now seems to have become an important part of the sales process.
But on the other hand, competition is also getting busier. Almost everyone can promote on social media. This means that business actors also have to be more creative so that their products don’t get lost among the thousands of other posts that appear every day.
What I see, now it’s not just about whether the product is good or cheap. The way the information is conveyed also matters. Interesting content is usually easier to share and appears more often on other people’s feeds.
In fact, many digital platforms are starting to provide support to creators and business people to be more enthusiastic about creating content. One of them is the Zoyalink Creator Program which provides rewards based on Valid Views on published content. In my opinion, a concept like this is quite interesting because it can be additional motivation for people who are actively creating content.
