Halo Gan & Sist,
If you hear the word stock marketmost people will immediately think of Wall Street in New York.
I used to think so too.
It turns out that after reading several historical references, I found out that the modern stock market actually started from Amsterdam, Netherlandsmore than 400 years ago.
At that time, traders gathered in coffee shops to buy and sell shares VOC (United East India Company)a trading company that is often referred to as the world’s first multinational company.
From this simple transaction, the concept of stock investment was born, which later developed into the modern stock exchange as we know it today.
What is interesting is that many of the investment practices that are still used today have actually been implemented since the 17th century.
So actually…
(ul)(li)Why was the VOC the first company to sell shares to the public?(/li)(li)Why did Amsterdam become the world’s financial center at that time?(/li)(li)How did the world’s financial center finally move to Wall Street?(/li)(li)What lessons can we take from the history of the stock market for more than 400 years?(/li)(/ul)Because this topic is quite long and interesting, I tried to summarize it in an easy-to-understand historical documentary.

According to Agan & Sista, Is the stock market the greatest financial innovation in history, or is it the beginning of various modern economic crises?
Let’s discuss below. I’m curious to hear Kaskus friends’ point of view.
