Febrie emphasized that as of Friday morning, July 10 2026, he was still on duty and received orders to resolve the case being handled by the Roundhouse.
News of his resignation emerged after his name was linked to a police search in a case of alleged corruption and money laundering related to the blackout of PLN, Asabri and its subsidiary Krakatau Steel.
Febrie also denied having any connection with the cafe business in Cipete which was also searched by the police.
However, he admitted that the house in Sentul, Bogor, which the National Police searched was his private home.
During the search, the police found 74 kg of gold bullion, US$4.76 million in cash, SGD14 million and Rp. 100 million. The total evidence is estimated at around IDR 476 billion.
Febrie stated that the money could be accounted for, but the explanation would be conveyed through legal procedures, not a press conference.
In your opinion, this case needs to be opened as openly as possible to the public?
Or just wait for the legal process to take place first?
