Hi everyone, Shalom Aleichem!
Good evening GanSist everyone!
Welcome back to Superwoman Seriesthe 126th, which is a series that discusses how women can become strong from various sides.
When they hear the word sport, some people immediately imagine activities that are tiring, sweat-inducing, or only suitable for professional athletes. There are also those who think that exercise is enough when they want to lose weight. In fact, medical science and sports science show that the benefits of physical activity go far beyond body shape. Sport is one of the best health investments that anyone, including Indonesian women, can make.
Indonesia is a tropical country with varying levels of community activity, the burden of infectious and non-communicable diseases which is still a challenge, as well as changes in lifestyle that make more and more people less mobile. In situations like this, sport is no longer just a hobby, but an important part of a healthy lifestyle. In fact, sport also has social, mental and intellectual benefits that often receive less attention.
Here are 6 reasons why Indonesian women need to make sport a part of their daily lives.
Quote:
1. So you can teach other people to exercise
The best knowledge is knowledge that can be put into practice and shared with others. It will be easier for someone to invite family, friends, children and the community to live an active life if they themselves are used to exercising. A mother who regularly walks, bikes, or tries hip-hop dancing will be a much stronger role model than just giving advice.
In health behavior science, concrete examples are often more effective than mere words. By having exercise experience, a person also understands better how to perform movements safely, the importance of warming up, cooling down, and how to build consistent exercise habits.
Superwoman not only keeps herself healthy, but also becomes a source of inspiration so that the environment around her also lives healthier.

2. So that the body is better prepared to face the threat of pathogens in tropical countries
Indonesia has a tropical climate which allows various microorganisms to develop well. Infectious diseases such as dengue fever, influenza, tuberculosis and various other diseases are still a public health challenge.
Exercise does not make a person immune to infectious diseases. However, research shows that regular moderate-intensity physical activity helps maintain the function of the immune system so that the body can respond better to various threats.
Apart from that, exercise also helps maintain a healthy heart, lungs, metabolism and sleep quality. All of these factors contribute to a fitter body condition in dealing with various diseases.
Of course, exercise must still be accompanied by a nutritious diet, vaccinations as recommended, personal hygiene and health checks if necessary.

3. So that you can be sporty and disciplined like Susi Susanti
In the world of Indonesian sports, the name Susi Susanti is synonymous with hard work, discipline, perseverance and sportsmanship. The great achievements he achieved were not the result of luck, but rather the fruit of consistent practice over many years.
Sports teach many values that are useful in everyday life. One learns to arrive on time. Learn to obey the rules. Learn to accept defeat. Learn to respect your opponent. Learn to get up after experiencing failure.
These values are not only useful on the sports field, but also in education, work, family and social life. Sportsmanship is a form of wisdom.

4. To support brain function and continue learning like Ainun Habibie
Hasri Ainun Habibie is known as a figure who is highly educated, intelligent, and has great dedication in the field of medicine.
There is no sport that can guarantee someone has intelligence like her, even though she is noted to like swimming like her husband. However, research in the field of neuroscience shows that regular physical activity helps increase blood flow to the brain, supports the formation of connections between nerve cells, and contributes to memory function, attention and learning ability. This means that exercise can be a factor that supports brain health so that a person is better prepared to learn throughout life.
Intelligence is not only built through reading books. A healthy body also helps the brain work optimally.

5. So that you can learn to compete healthily
Competition is often seen as something negative. In fact, healthy competition actually helps a person develop.
Through sports, a person learns that victory must be obtained through practice, not through cheating. One also learns to accept that not every game will be won. The ability to accept defeat gracefully is an important part of mental strength.
In real life, competition always exists. Competition for jobs. Competition in education. Competition in the business world. Sport is a safe place to learn to face all of this in a sporting manner.

6. In order to become an overall stronger Superwoman
Exercise doesn’t just build muscle. Physical activity also helps maintain mental health, reduces the risk of various chronic diseases, improves sleep quality, improves mood, and increases self-confidence.
Apart from that, sport is often a means of building social relationships through running, gymnastics, cycling, choreography or other sports communities. For many people, sport is even a means of training patience, self-control and gratitude for the talents they have.
This is why sports aligns so well with the spirit of the Superwoman Series. A strong woman not only has a healthy body, but also has a clear mind, a disciplined attitude, good social relations, and a passion to continue to develop.

CLOSURE
Sport is not an activity that is only intended for professional athletes or those who want to have an ideal body. Various studies show that physical activity carried out regularly provides benefits for almost all body systems, from the heart, lungs, brain, bones, muscles, to mental health. More than that, sport also teaches life values such as discipline, sportsmanship, hard work, the ability to work together, and resilience in the face of failure.
For Indonesian women, sport can be a means of maintaining health, being a role model for family and society, improving the quality of brain function, strengthening endurance, and forming a more mature character. All these benefits are not obtained overnight, but through habits that are carried out consistently.
Superwoman understands that a strong body is not just for herself. A healthy body allows a woman to work longer, learn more, help more people, and carry out various roles more optimally. Therefore, sport is not just a lifestyle choice, but a long-term investment in physical, mental, social health and quality of life.
