What is the Difference Between Larp and Poser?

Larp is an abbreviation of “life action roleplay”, This slang word refers to someone who pretends/acts as a fictional character in the real or virtual world along with the background or story of the character he or she plays, and it is not necessarily true that the person who is singing is a karbit (following along) as is said or discussed by people on TikTok.

Whereas poser it means almost the same as the word “larp“, but the difference between the two is, if larp refers to someone who “roleplaying“The story of the character he plays, if poseur refers to people who pretend to be part of a subculture or communication aimed at “caper” and praise.

Well… these two words are often used as a word of ridicule for people who are mean (follow along) on the internet, especially on big social media, and these words have become one of the best-selling memes on TikTok and there are even many versions of them… (What I see is in the comments column or content on the homepage).

There are also many people who cannot tell the difference “larp” or “poser/poser” because it’s still too new for them, because the meaning is almost the same, but very different. This is one of the internet cultures that is interesting to me, because I just found out about it (just reading and searching), after looking for it, I finally found it from Wikipedia and other media.

(Ahem..rumors are circulating..there was a TikTok user who accidentally recorded a video about his friend’s story who spammed posts about characters from visual novel games “wonderful everyday” and it seems like this friend is spamming posts of character pictures “Mamiyatakuji” or in Toktok it’s called “subahibi” using a Russian song if I’m not mistaken about the title and song”me so so so so“, the song seems confused.., and if I’m not mistaken there is one person who commented “larp” and this seems to be the origin of the word “larp” popular and become the subject of new ridicule there..)
